Imphal, Aug. 26 -- Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday lauded the initiative of the Excise Department and all other departments that have collaborated in collecting around Rs. 29 crores in revenue for the State since March 26, 2026, in less than a year.
The Chief Minister made the statement while attending the observance of 79th Manipur Excise Raising Day at the Excise Headquarter Office, Lamphelpat, Imphal West.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister informed that the grievances raised by the Excise Employees' Association would be looked into, as it is important to strengthen the Excise Department of the State Government.
