Lucknow, Aug. 31 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary and litterateur Dr. Shambhu Nath suddenly died while attending a programme here on Saturday evening. He was around 80.
On Saturday evening, Dr Shambhu Nath was the chief guest at the release ceremony of writer Manorama Srivastava's novel based on Karna at Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan. He died while giving a speech.
The surprising thing is that he was speaking on death, saying, "The day and time of death is fixed; no one can change it." Suddenly his head started bending on the table, and he became unconscious.
When this unexpected incident happened, Dr. Shambhu Nath's wife, Chanda, was also in the auditorium. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead.
