Chennai, April 4 -- Former BJP Tamil Nadu Unit President K Annamalai on Saturday justified his decision to opt of the electoral race in the April 23 Assembly polls.
Talking to reporters at the airport here he said he had voluntarily declined to contest in the elections in order to extensively campaign for the candidates of the NDA, headed by AIADMK and also consists ofBJP, PMK, AMMK, TMC and other parties.
Stating that he had already written to the BJP National Leadership conveying his decision to opt out of the electoral race, Mr Annamalai said the same had also been conveyed to the senior leaders.
