Chandigarh, Oct. 22 -- Former Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Mohammad Mustafa has publicly addressed the case registered against him and his wife in connection with the death of their son, Aqil Akhtar, for the first time.
The case was filed in Panchkula, Haryana, where Aqil's body was found under mysterious circumstances.
Mustafa said his son had been suffering from a psychotic disorder for nearly 18 years and was also addicted to drugs. He revealed that Aqil's health began to deteriorate in 2007 and that his violent behavior under the influence of narcotics often put family members at risk.
