Chennai, Sept. 22 -- Weeks after the arrest of wellknown industrialist and Gem Granites founder-owner R.Veeramani and a couple were arrested under the POCSO Act, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Wing of the Greater Chennai police widened the probe by arresting his former Personal Assistant Ganesan on Tuesday under the same Act.
Veeramani and a couple were arrested on August 29 by the police under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually a harassing minor girl. Acting on a October 6, 2025 complaint by a person of an NGO, police arrested him and also a woman named Shanti and her husband Mahendra Simgan for allegedly abetting the crime.
