Chennai, July 7 -- Opposition DMK strongman and former Minister V.Senthilbalaji, now an MLA, on Tuesday filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Madras High Court apprehending arrest in the Rs 35 crore TVK Legislator bribery case.
In his plea, the influential DMK leader representin Coimbatore South in the Tamil Nadu assembly, said the charges against him linking him with the case, was politically motivated. He also denied charges of horse trading and said he has no links with it.
The poaching row came to light after a ruling TVK MLA Dr.N.Ilayaraja, elected from Uthangarai constituency in Krishnagiri district, claimed that he was approached by a pollster Thirunuvukkarasu at the instance of Senthilbalaji and his brother RV Ashok Kumar, with a...
