Chennai, July 4 -- Senior DMK leader and former Minister Anitha Radhakrishnan, who was arrested for making defamatory remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, was granted conditional bail by a court.
The sitting Tiruchendur MLA was arrested yesterday within hours after the Madras High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail plea while he was on inspection work at Athoor Town Panchayat. After the arrested he was taken to the office of the Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police where was questioned for nearly five-and-a-half-hours.
