Bengaluru, Oct. 30 -- The Karnataka voter deletion controversy took a new turn as former BJP MLA Subhash Guttedar, his son Harsha Guttedar, and an associate filed for anticipatory bail before a special court in Bengaluru, amid tightening investigations by the state's Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The SIT, probing the largescale deletion of names from the Aland constituency voter list ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections, has reportedly found leads suggesting the involvement of the former MLA and his aides.
The team had recently conducted searches at properties linked to Guttedar and his associates in Kalaburagi and Aland.
