Imphal, Sept. 3 -- A delegation of the Ex-Autonomous District Council (ADC) Members' Forum of Manipur, led by Convenor R.S. Ngaranchui, met Additional Chief Secretary (Tribal Affairs & Hills) Anurag Bajpai, IFS, yesterday and submitted a representation highlighting concerns over the delay in holding ADC elections in the State.
The forum expressed that the absence of elected local bodies in the hill districts since the expiry of the ADC term in November 2020 has adversely impacted development and weakened grassroots governance.
