Mumbai, Oct. 23 -- Essar Foundation has committed to a five-year partnership with the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (DP World PGTI) to establish the Shri Shashi Ruia Memorial Golf Championship as an annual fixture on India's professional golf calendar, with the inaugural edition carrying a prize purse of Rs 2 crore.
The tournament, announced here on Friday, will be held at the historic Willingdon Sports Club from January 12 to 15, 2027, bringing leading Indian professionals and emerging golfing talent to Mumbai. The Pro-Am event will precede the championship on January 10.
