Chennai, Jan. 27 -- AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition in theTamil Nadu Assembly Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday announced that if his partyreturned to power in the ensuing polls, Rs ten lakh would be paid as compensation tothe family of bulltamer if he lost his life while taming bulls in Jallikattu events.
Inaugurating a Jallikattu (taming of bulls) event at Salapalayam village in Namakkal district,also announced comprehensive relief and insurance cover for the tamers and bulls, whilereaffirming AIADMK's unwavering commitment to Tamil culture and the traiditional ruralsport.
