Chennai, Oct. 26 -- AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K.Palaniswami(EPS) today launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for his continued apathy towards thesuffering farmers of Tamil Nadu.

In a statement here, he also accused him of spending more time watching movies than addressing thestate's deepening agrarian distress.

"When I held the paddy that had sprouted in the rain in my own hands, I felt the indescribable pain of thefarmers," Mr. Palaniswami said.

"But the hand of the Chief Minister, who should have been holding this paddy, is instead busy holding thehands of film crews", he alleged.

Mr. Palaniswami clarified that there was nothing wrong in appreciating cinema or encouraging talent....
