Srinagar, June 20 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of the Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday filed a chargesheet in a Sopore Court against an accused from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly duping a complainant on the pretext of providing a foreign telecom project.
According to EoW, the chargesheet was produced in FIR registered in 2023 under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code against Harkeet Singh, a resident of Kali Mata Mandir, Lal Bangla, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The case originated from a written complaint alleging that the accused induced the complainant to part with money by promising to provide an AT&T inbound sales call project purportedly linked to a United States-based telecom company.
