Srinagar, June 12 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V.K. Birdi on Friday stressed the need for enhanced inter-agency coordination, seamless communication and a unified security strategy to ensure peaceful and secure conduct of the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Muharram observances and Mela Kheer Bhawani in Kashmir.

IGP chaired a high-level security review meeting at PCR Kashmir to assess preparedness and strengthen security arrangements for the forthcoming events.

The meeting witnessed participation from senior officers of J&K Police, Army, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, intelligence agencies, Railways, Traffic, Telecommunication and other security agencies.
