London, July 12 -- A prolific career draws to a close as Heather Knight retires from international cricket.
She announced that the ongoing Test against India will be her final international outing.
The historic Test was the first-ever Women's Test at Lord's and followed England's stellar home ICC Women's T20 World Cup campaign, which saw them finish second to Australia.
Perhaps, Knight's most important contribution came in their semi-final bout against South Africa, where her 58 helped guide the hosts into the final.
Having made her international debut in 2010, Knight went on to become a regular of the England setup and contributed with her bat as well as a captain, during her tenure from 2016 to 2025, according to ICC.
