London, Aug. 17 -- Charlie Dean is set to lead England in the absence of regular captain Nat Sciver-Brunt in the three-match ODI series at home against Ireland, starting September 1.
Dean has deputised for Sciver-Brunt in the past, most recently during the ODI series against New Zealand in the lead-up to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026.
Sciver-Brunt is among several notable absentees from the squad, with Danni Wyatt-Hodge also managing her fitness and recovery. Amy Jones, Sophie Ecclestone and Lauren Bell also missout as England look to broaden their talent pool in the ODI setup.
In Jones' absence, Alice Capsey is set to take up wicketkeeping duties for England.
