New Delhi, July 18 -- Taking a significant step towards making Delhi's sanitation system more effective and strengthening the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's sanitation infrastructure, Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi on Saturday flagged off 135 electric sanitation vehicles at an event held in Sector 10 Rohini.

These electric vehicles will bolster the sanitation fleets of the Rohini, Narela, Civil Lines and Keshav puram zones of the MCD.

"Electric sanitation vehicles will prove to be a milestone for waste management in the MCD area and will save valuable fuel," Wahi stated.
