Elections in 309 civic bodies in Rajasthan to be held later this year

Jaipur, March 24 -- The Election to all the 309 civic bodies in Rajasthan will be held simultaneously later this year.

The Directorate of Local Bodies (DLB) announced here Tuesday after getting the clearance and detailed directives from the Rajasthan High Court which has been hearing some petitions on the issue of "one state - one election" and related aspects.

Accordingly, the revision of the electoral rolls in 113 civic bodies has to be begun from April 13, 2026, that will be completed on May 8, 2026 with publication of final voters lists.

These 113 local bodies are in around 40 cities-towns including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Nagaur, Tonk, Bhilwara, Bikaner and Sriganganagar.
