Ch. Sambhajinagar, May 29 -- The election process for 633 gram panchayats across Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district has formally commenced, setting the stage for heightened political activity in rural areas.

The State Election Commission has announced the schedule for the reservation draw for members, marking the beginning of the process for the elections to these gram panchayats. As per the programme, the reservation draw will be conducted during special Gram Sabha meetings on June 12.

Among the district's talukas, Vaijapur will witness the highest number of gram panchayat elections, with polls scheduled in 105 villages. In contrast, Soygaon will have the lowest number with elections in 42 gram panchayats.
