Mumbai, Aug. 14 -- In a scathing broadside against the central leadership, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has launched a fierce attack on union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Election Commission of India (ECI), accusing them of orchestrating a multi-crore deal to strip his faction of its legitimate party name and official election symbol.
Speaking to the media, Raut did not mince words regarding the political turmoil in Maharashtra, claiming that an "ineligible person" was unlawfully installed as Chief Minister. He alleged that the ECI completely bypassed fair procedures and refused to hear his party's side before delivering its verdict.
