New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- The Election Commission of India on Tuesday revised the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date, extending the timeline for key revision activities, including house-to-house verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs), publication of the draft roll and disposal of claims and objections.
In an order issued to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Delhi, the Commission said it had revised the schedule after referring to its earlier orders dated May 14 and July 15, 2026, and a request received from the Delhi CEO on August 3.
