Godda, Oct. 22 -- A horrific incident has emerged from Goradih village under Boarijor police station in Godda district, where 65-year-old Sona Bhanu Khatoon was found brutally murdered.
The elderly woman was reportedly asleep at home with her four-year-old granddaughter when unknown assailants slit her throat with a sharp weapon.
Local sources revealed that villagers grew concerned when Sona Bhanu Khatoon did not wake up until late morning. On entering her home, they discovered her body lying in a pool of blood with severe neck injuries. The gruesome scene shocked the entire village, drawing a large crowd near the victim's residence.
