Farrukhabad, April 28 -- In a shocking incident in Farrukhabad, two sons allegedly killed their 70-year-old father after he refused to arrange their marriages.
The incident took place late at night in the Maudarwaza police station area, in the village of Arrah Paharpur, police said on Tuesday.
According to reports, the victim, Ramsanehi, lived with his sons Anil and Omkar. Around 11 pm on Monday, the sons reportedly attacked him with a weapon, striking him on the head and killing him on the spot.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after being informed. Station House Officer Ajab Singh, along with his team, initiated an investigation.
Omkar, the elder son, was taken into custody, while forensic teams collected evidence from the scene.
