Aligarh, Oct. 10 -- In a tragic incident on the occasion of Karva Chauth, an elderly couple from Mohammadpur Bahdera village, under Atrauli police station limits, ended their lives near the Ganga ghat in Ramghat today morning.
The couple, identified as Puran Singh (72) and Chameli Devi (70), had reportedly left their home around 8 am for what they told family members would be a holy bath in the Ganga. According to relatives, the couple often experienced tension over domestic matters, and an argument had taken place earlier that morning.
