Solan, Oct. 11 -- Solan police have arrested Dr. Ram Kumar Bindal, brother of a senior BJP leader, on charges of alleged rape of a young woman.
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that the victim filed a report at the women's police station, stating that she had been suffering from a medical condition for a long time, for which she had received treatment through scientific methods but had received no relief.
The police have registered a case under sections 64 and 68 of the Indian Penal Code.
On October 7, she had come to a doctor near the old bus stand in Solan seeking Vedic treatment for her condition where a man was sitting. He asked her where she was from and then made her sit for an examination.
