Mumbai, April 6 -- Producer Ektaa Kapoor has said that the makers of 'Bhooth Bangla' deliberately chose April 17 for its theatrical release to steer clear of competition at the box office.

The film, originally scheduled to release on April 10, was postponed to April 17 because of the paucity of available screens, thanks to 'Dhurandhar 2' still running to packed screens, reports Variety India.

She counters, "We didn't delay because of Dhurandhar in the theatres. I could have secured good screens and showtimes for 'Bhooth Bangla' even on April 10, as films are generally not doing well.
