Amravati, June 8 -- Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Legislative Council member Bachchu Kadu on Monday reiterated his demand that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde should become the CM, while Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should be assigned a larger role in national politics.

Speaking to reporters in Amravati, Kadu said that as a Shiv Sainik, it was natural for him to want Shinde to lead Maharashtra.

Referring to his earlier remarks made in Bhandara, Kadu said it was obvious for Shiv Sena workers to support their party leader for the top post in the state.
