Hyderabad, March 23 -- EKA Mobility, a leading electric vehicle and technology company, in consortium with GreenCell Mobility, on Monday said it has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) for the supply and deployment of 915 electric buses in Hyderabad under the Government of India's PM E-DRIVE scheme.
The project, to be implemented under the CESL-led PM E-DRIVE (Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement), involves rollout of 100 nine-metre and 815 twelve-metre standard-floor non-AC electric buses aimed at strengthening urban public transport.
In a release, the companies said the buses are fully electric and zero-emission, designed to deliver efficient, reliable and commuter-friendly services across the city.
