Prithviraj SinghDehradun, June 18 -- Work on the much-awaited nearly 422 MW Kishau Hydropower project is set to resume as the eight years-long deadlock was broken between the six stakeholding states that have agreed to sign an MoU to restart the Dam construction work.

Interestingly Himachal Pradesh has agreed to give its share of dam water to Delhi and Rajasthan in return for sharing its cost of power component by the two states.

Stake holding states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi have agreed to sign an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the long-pending Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project to restart the work after eight long years.
