Lucknow, July 28 -- The new museum projects in Uttar Pradesh will preserve the state's rich heritage and will also prove useful for tourists and researchers. Presently, 8 new museums are under construction by the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department. These are in Gorakhpur, Barabanki, Varanasi, Kaushambi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Lucknow, and Bijnor.
These new museums will preserve the items related to history, culture, and the freedom struggle.
State's Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh, announced here on Tuesday that the Gorkha Museum in Gorakhpur will focus on the bravery, sacrifices, and military history of the Gorkha Regiment, housing historical documents, military equipment, and the heroic tales of Gorkha warriors.
