Kolkata, May 25 -- Two days after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a commanding victory in Diamond Harbour's Falta assembly constituency, eight Trinamool Congress (TMC) councillors of the Diamond Harbour Municipality submitted their resignation letters.
The Diamond Harbour Municipality comprised of 16 TMC councillors.
The urban local body did not have a single councillor from any other party.
On Monday, eight councillors submitted their letters of resignation citing various reasons.
