Mangaluru, July 13 -- The arrest of eight Bangladeshi nationals working illegally at a construction site near Surathkal has exposed what investigators suspect is a well-organised cross-border infiltration and forged identity document racket, prompting central and state intelligence agencies to launch an extensive probe across coastal Karnataka.
The eight men, arrested during a police verification drive at Mukka on July 9, are suspected to have entered India illegally through the Bangladesh-West Bengal border before obtaining forged Aadhaar cards and securing employment in Dakshina Kannada district.
