In recent years, Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a disturbing surge in cases where cybercriminals have looted life savings through sophisticated scams and fake promises.
The latest instance has emerged from Nahan city, where the CID has taken over the investigation of a cyber fraud involving Rs. 1.43 crore - among the biggest such cases reported in the state. Two separate cases have come to light, exposing how cunning fraudsters exploit trust and technology alike.
