Chandigarh, Aug. 25 -- The Enforcement Directorate has summoned former Punjab chief secretary Anurag Verma to appear before it on August 31 in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities involving the Suntec City and Altus Space Builders projects.
The agency has also summoned IAS officer Kanwal Preet Brar again, asking her to appear at its zonal office in Jalandhar on August 27. Brar had earlier appeared before the ED on August 18 and has been asked to bring additional documents related to the case.
For Verma, the summons marks his first appearance before the agency in the case. He is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue, but was heading the Housing and Urban Development Department when the alleged irregulari...
