Bengaluru, June 10 -- The Enforcement Directorate's (ED) summons to Congress leader Mohammed Haris Nalapad in the alleged Bitcoin scam-linked money laundering case sparked a political controversy on Wednesday, with Karnataka Minister U T Khader questioning the timing of the move and describing it as appearing "motivated".
The ED has summoned Nalapad and his brother Omar Farook Nalapad to appear before its Bengaluru office on June 11 for questioning under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with its probe into the cryptocurrency scandal linked to hacker Srikrishna Ramesh alias Sriki.
