Kolkata, June 16 -- Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee was unable to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday as a result of a marathon 11-hour interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kolkata in connection with the primary teacher recruitment scam.
As Banerjee interrogation timing coincided with an urgent summons from the Speaker's office in New Delhi, the Diamond Harbour MP failed to attend the very important meeting with the Speaker.
