New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Hyderabad Zonal Office, stated on Friday that it has filed a chargesheet before a special PMLA court against Roop Singh Meena, a former Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI)/Ministerial staff member of the CISF, National Industrial Security Academy (NISA), Hyderabad. The court has taken cognisance of the chargesheet.
The ED initiated its investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) based on an FIR registered by Telangana Police against Roop Singh Meena. He was accused of dishonestly and without authority diverting National Pension Scheme (NPS) contributions belonging to CISF personnel into the NPS accounts of other serving and resigned CISF staff.
