Chandigarh, May 27 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has approached a special anti-money laundering court in Saket with a formal complaint against Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui, the pioneer of Al-Falah University.

The federal agency has accused Siddiqui and three other entities of masterminding a fraudulent real estate scheme to illegally occupy a Delhi-based property worth nearly Rs 46 crore. Interestingly, this premier educational institution has previously faced government scrutiny during a high-profile "white-collar terror" investigation linked to a past explosion at the Red Fort.
