New Delhi, March 24 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Guwahati Zonal Office, today said it has attached movable and immovable properties worth Rs 2.15 crore in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets case registered against Munindra Bhuyan, the then Senior Food Safety Officer in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam.

The ED initiated a PMLA investigation based on an FIR (first information report) registered by the CM's Special Vigilance Cell (CMSVC), Guwahati, against Munindra Bhuyan under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act for possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
