New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today said that they have arrested one Jiban Krishna Saha, the TMC MLA from Buran (Murshidabad ) constituency in connection with a PMLA case related to SSC scam.
He was later sent to six days of custodial remand.
The arrest was made by its Kolkata zone office.
The ED said that the arrest was made in the matter of illegal appointments of Assistant Teachers (Classes IX-XII) in West Bengal schools. The appointments were allegedly carried out in criminal conspiracy with officials of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (SSC).
