New Delhi, July 7 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Gurugram Zonal Office, on Tuesday arrested Rakesh Gupta, former Chief Financial Officer and President (Strategic Initiatives) of Apollo Green Energy Ltd. (formerly Apollo International Ltd.), in connection with an ongoing money laundering investigation involving Inderjeet Singh and others.
The ED said Gupta was arrested after he allegedly failed to comply with four summons issued by the agency. A non-bailable warrant (NBW) had subsequently been issued against him by the Special PMLA Court in Gurugram. He was produced before the court, which remanded him to ED custody for five days.
