Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has successfully completed restoration work between Jarati and Maliguda stations on the Koraput-Kirandul line under the Waltair Division, just two days after a massive landslide disrupted train services on July 2.
The landslide, triggered by incessant rainfall, severely affected operations between Koraput and Kirandul as approximately 25,000 cubic meters of mud and boulders buried a section of the track.
Despite the challenging hilly terrain and continuous rain, restoration teams immediately swung into action with meticulous planning and swift mobilization of resources.
According to ECoR sources, a total of 16 excavators and other heavy earth-moving machinery were deployed at the site....
