Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has achieved a record originating freight loading of 81.40 million tonnes (MT) during the first four months of the financial year 2026-27, reflecting a strong performance amid the recent reorganisation of the railway network and the formation of the new Rayagada Railway Division.

Of the total freight loading recorded between April and July 2026, the Khurda Road Division accounted for 59.02 MT, while the newly formed Rayagada Division handled 13.71 MT and the Sambalpur Division contributed 8.67 MT.
