Aizawl, June 4 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has called for active public participation in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of electoral rolls, with officials stressing the importance of ensuring that every eligible voter in Mizoram is included in the electoral database.
Interacting with journalists at the Aizawl Press Club on Thursday, ECI Deputy Director (Media) Apurva Kumar Singh described SIR 2026 as a major nationwide exercise aimed at updating electoral rolls to keep them accurate, clean and reliable. Mizoram is among the states covered under Phase III of the revision programme, which is currently underway.
