Kolkata, Oct. 11 -- In a significant development, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a fresh directive to the state government, reiterating that its criteria for selecting electoral officers - especially Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) - must not be compromised under any circumstances.
