New Delhi, July 17 -- The Election Commission of India on Friday hosted its first All India Media Conference 2026, bringing together over 380 media professionals from across States and union Territories to strengthen awareness of India's electoral system and the institutional safeguards that underpin free and fair elections.
Held under the theme, "Connecting stakeholders, strengthening democracy: Role of media in elections," the conference sought to provide journalists with a deeper understanding of election management and the transparency measures built into the electoral process.
