New Delhi, Nov. 18 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) Tuesday announced that more than 50 crore electors have received enumeration forms as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase II, which began on November 4 and will continue until December 4, 2025. This extensive door-to-door verification effort aims to update and refine voter details across the country.
The states and union Territories involved in this phase include Andaman & Nicobar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. To facilitate the process, the ECI has deployed 5.33 lakh Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and 10.41 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
