Imphal, May 22 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday announced the schedule for biennial elections to 24 Rajya Sabha seats from 10 states, including the lone seat from Manipur presently represented by Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba, whose term will expire on June 21, 2026.

According to the ECI press note, polling for the Rajya Sabha elections will be held on June 18, while counting of votes will take place the same day at 5 pm. The notification for the elections will be issued on June 1 and the last date for filing nominations has been fixed for June 8. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on June 9 and candidates may withdraw their nominations till June 11.

The election process is scheduled to be completed by June 20.
