Bengaluru, June 30 -- Seeking to allay concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the Election Commission on Tuesday assured voters in Karnataka that no elector would lose their voting rights merely because their details have not yet been mapped, as the state simultaneously rolled out an extensive support system to facilitate the month-long verification exercise.

Launching the SIR across Karnataka, Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar clarified that electors whose details are yet to be mapped would continue to remain on the electoral rolls and would receive customised enumeration forms during the door-to-door verification.
