Bhubaneswar, July 21 -- Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania on Tuesday called for a coordinated, technology-driven and intelligence-led policing framework among the eastern states to effectively combat organised crime, cybercrime, narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) and other emerging security challenges that transcend state boundaries.

Chairing the high-level meeting of the Eastern Regional Police Coordination Committee (ERPCC) in Bhubaneswar, Khurania said no state can effectively tackle these evolving threats in isolation.
